   In 1972,Wei-Shin was established by the founder and former president, Wu-Zhen. With the vision that Taiwan's development will lead to a prosperous aluminum extrusion industry, Wei-Shin Aluminum Co,. Ltd. invested a total of NT$15 million by buying an area of 2,500 square meters in Zhang Hwa county and hired 35 employees. The first year of operation reached an annual output of 2500 tons. Wei-Shin was one of the earliest in private aluminum extrusion.
 in 1973, with increased sales, the factory in Zhang Hwa county was unable to fulfill the vast demand. Therefore, the factory was moved to the current address in Tainan and the capital was increased to NT$45 million. The area covered 5,000 square meters and the number of employees increased to 100. The annual output increased to 3000 tons.
  In 1979, with a project to renew product lines, the company purchased a 1700-ton extrusion press, and was the vanguard in introducing the innovated extrusion puller by Yaskawa. The company, thus, entered the era of automation.
 In 1980, the company entered the market of military goods. By providing higher quality products among the aluminum extrusion industry, the company passed the evaluation by the Ministry of National Defense R.O.C and Combined Logistics Command, MND, and was awarded as the certified satellite factory of the R.O.C Military.
   IN 1982, the company purchased a vacant land adjacent to the factory to construct an office building and expand the factory. The company also renewed the facilities by purchasing two 1,700-ton and two 1,000-ton extrusion presses. The annual output reached 12,000 tons.
   In 1987, the company was the first in Asia that introduced the Wagstuff Airslip casting system. The casting technique and quality, therefore, had officially geared to international standards.
 In 1991, the company was awarded five BSMI Marks and Class A Rating by the Bureau of Standards, Metrology and Inspection, M.O.E.A., R.O.C.
 In 1995, under the leadership of the president, Mr. Kuo G Wu, the company renewed the facilities of production and quality control. A technique exchange with foreign factories and academic institutions also took place. By introducing advanced techniques, the company had a breakthrough in the production techniques, and the quality of products was wildly approved by clients and among the industry.
 In 1997, the company was certified by the UL ISO-9002 and registered at the Bureau of Commodity Standards ofCNS 9002. The company established a production line for 2,500-ton extrusion press and the annual output achieved 15,000 tons.
 In 2000, the die cast section continually purchased new equipments, such as wire cutting machines, digital EDM machines, CNCs, and cordinate measuring machines. Die cast entered a digitalized era.
 In 2002, according to International Organization for Standardization(ISO), the original ISO 9002 quality systems were transformed to ISO 9001 quality management systems.
 In 2006, the company purchased a new high alloy indirect press which produced all types of high alloy materials for domestic and foreig aeronautical, military and such high technological materials.
 In 2008, the company established a second 2,500-ton press production line and increased the annual output to 25,000 tons.
